Evie has never been one to fuss when her diaper is dirty. For example, yesterday she got up from a nap, I changed her, we had lunch and then went for a walk. I changed her when we came back (it was about 2 hours later) and she had pooped! I feel so bad, and that isn't the first time she has pooped and I didn't realize it right away. She didn't seem uncomfortable and I didn't smell it--I don't know if it's b/c we CD or what, but I can't usually smell it unless it is a huge poop or I get right up to her butt.
Do your LOs fuss when they need a diaper change? Ideas for me? Do I just need to sniff her butt more often? I'm afraid she's going to get a rash or UTI. ![]()
Re: Do your LOs let you know they need a diaper change?
Sophia doesn't seem to care if she has a dirty diaper either. She's starting to get a little more vocal about when there's poop though. I guess she doesn't like it so much when she's moving around...can't say I blame her.
We CD too and I can barely smell it unless I'm like right next to her. I think it is the CD because you can smell my niece from across the room and she's in disposables.

BFP!! 8/29/16 --> EDD: 5/11/17....it's a GIRL!!!
He rarely lets me know when he needs a diaper change, even if he has a blowout in the middle of the night. He's more inclined to wake in the middle of the night (aside from needing a bottle) if he has an overly wet leaky diaper.
Aside from sniff his butt ALL THE TIME, I don't know what else to do. If he poops while in the high chair I know though. It echos so loudly!
Same with DS. And a lot of times I can tell when he's pooping because of his expression/sounds
That is hilarious!
Love this!
Way back when, Stella would grab on to both of my thumbs to 'bear down' while pooping. The faces she made would crack me up!
M will let NOT sleep if she is about to poop or has poop in her diaper. She will chatter and talk until I come to check on her and then I can smell it. Sometimes she won't have pooped yet, but she will within ten minutes or so.. she just knows when it is going to happen, I swear.
I noticed that she would stop playing and lie down in her play area and I thought it was nap time and then I smelled her. It has happened a few times now.
As a NB DD wouldn't tolerate the tiniest bit of pee, let alone poop. Now she doesn't care either way. Since we CD, I can never smell it, so I often get poop surprises
Wait, I take it back. DD will not sleep in poop, so if she poops right before nap she cries. Other than sleeping time, she will not let me know.
