Gah! Fire ants in my compost bin

How should I kill them? I HATE the little buggers and won't let DS anywhere near the bin while the ants are living there, nor will I do much with the compost, like turning it, until they're gone. I've had my share of run-ins with fire ants already. :-/
Obviously, I don't want to hurt the other beneficial critters in my pile, but I don't know of any ant-specific remedies? However, this is a very young pile, so I guess I don't really mind killing everything and starting from scratch. I'm thinking boiling water might be a good option? Any other thoughts?
