Thanks for the T&P from earlier everyone. Sorry I couldn't update after the little vent. I am home now and resting. Apparently, I have bronchitis.
I started getting sick last night (DH has been sick for a week) and during the night I was having shooting pains in my heart. They were gone this morning but I was still feeling like crap. I left work early and called the OB nurse to figure out what I should take that wouldn't conflict with the medication I am on for the the pregnancy. She said, call the primary doctor or go to the ER for the chest pains, which I don't have. So she gave me some number to the same day appointment and they said they wold probably just send me to the ER too.
On top of being sick, both my dogs were having dental cleanings today and they had to be put under for that. The last time Frenchie was put under she got dehydrated and almost died. Callie has a heart murmur so she called me before surgery and said she was a little concerned about her heartrate dropping during surgery.
Next, a friend text me and was upset because she didn't think I was excited enough when she told me she was pregnant. Then we got in an argument and like the mature adult I am, I hung up on her because I didn't feel like having her yell at me when I did nothing wrong. I also felt like both our babies were more important than whatever we were doing to our blood pressure.
Lastly, I have my a/s tomorrow and I am extremely nervous about that.
So, off I went to the hospital with a blood pressure of 151/105 and crying. (SIL came with)
We sat there for almost 5 hours and they did an CAT scan of my chest. They said if I was having a blood clot they needed to know. There would be some radiation to the baby but it shouldn't hurt the baby. I asked what if I didn't want it and they said, "Well, if you die the baby is going to too." Oh, ok thank you doctor for making me feel like I have no choice. He also basically said if I didn't want it there is nothing else they could do for me. My h/r was between 105 and 118 the entire time and they only checked the baby once on the doppler, even when I told them I was cramping.
CAT scan conclusion is bronchitis.
So here I am at home, where I checked the baby again since the nurse had such a hard time finding LO. I'm also listening to my husband try to clear his nose (sinus infection), watching my dogs walk around in a daze and still worrying about having the baby be healthy at the anatomy scan, especially after I subjected it to radiation. If you have any T&P left, I could really use them for our scan tomorrow.
If you made it here, I owe you a non-alcoholic beverage in a fun glass.

Aw, big {{hugs}}. That was quite an eventful day. Many t&p's for a healthy quezzo baby tomorrow!
Prop your feet up, stay hydrated, and run a humidifier if you have one. (I've had bronchitis twice now this pregnancy and it's probably helped more than anything else.) Hope you feel better soon!

What an awful day! I hope you start feeling better soon, and FX that you have a great a/s.
As for the radiation, in my opinion [NB: I'm a molecular biology PhD but not an MD] it's not going to affect your a/s scan. Radiation causes DNA damage, which is a bigger deal in the first trimester (when all the body systems are forming and development is sensitive to even one-messed up cell). It's still not ideal to have radiation exposure later in pg, but the risks are super small and it almost certainly wouldn't cause birth defects at this stage.
So relax and lower that blood pressure
