    I love Combi strollers.  They fold up super compact, but aren't bare bones.  They also have a carry strap that is great for travel.  It only weighs 11 lbs, so very lightweight and easy to carry up the jetway while carrying a child when traveling.  doesn't take up much room in your trunk either.

    We have a Chicco Liteway that is very light and compact.  Works for us for those short trips and traveling.  You could also look at the City Mini.  We have the double and that thing is awesome.
