New- Need Advice

Hello all. I am new here, but fall under many of the attatchment parenting areas- cloth diapering, baby wearing, breast feeding, stay at home mom, etc. My DS just turned one week old and we are cosleeping but the past two nights, he will not sleep unless he is on DH or me.

I am terrified of falling asleep while he is on one of us thinking he will roll into us or a pillow or off of us. It makes for extremely sleepless nights. Any advice on getting him to sleep if we put him down?

For the first few weeks I slept with our DS (now 2.5 months) in the crook of my arm. This gave him the security of feeling/smelling me while knowing that I couldn't roll over on him.

I'm a VERY light sleeper though and I always wake up in the same position that I fall asleep in so it also made for some achy mornings.

For his first six weeks we slept in shifts because DS needed to be held to sleep. I would hold him until about 2am and then DH would take over holding him and bring him to me to nurse. It was rough! Now he will sleep next to me or sometimes we do let him sleep in his swing.

This was me too....super stiff and achy every morning lol
