Feingold / Real Food - whats in your lunchbox?

I'm trying to find suggestions on lunch box stuffers for my DD's lunches.  The hardest part of switching to zero processed foods is the lunchbox, I've found.  So far I have figured out the main course (sandwiches) but need help on suggestions for snacks.

  • We generally do 1/2 a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and a fruit for DD1's lunch. That's all she has time to eat. For fruits I'll send strawberries, grapes, mandarin orange, apple, pear... She doesn't like most raw veggies, but she'll eat cucumbers or carrots with ranch. DD2 loves raw bell peppers also.

  • Ds is in preschool so they will heat his food. Once he moves to kindy, I'll have to get a thermos. We typically do leftovers like roast, chopped pork, grilled ham, spaghetti served with spaghetti squash, steak, ham and cheese rolled together, roasted chicken, soups (not his fav though), crustless pizza, cauliflower fried rice with pork or chicken, natural turkey sausage, boiled eggs, hamburgers with no bun. For sides I send fruits (apples, mandarins, bananas, berries, grapefruit, kiwi, star fruit), greek yogurt, raw veggies (cauliflower, broccoli, bell peppers, cucumbers, carrots) with olive oil and vinegar for dip, salad, olives, cheese. He also likes sweet potatoes (mashed or julienned and baked), pumpkin and is obsessed with brussel sprout chips.  We eat real food with no grains or soy.
