They mentioned kick counting (in the future) at my last appointment. I haven't had an u/s in a couple weeks, so I'm really unsure how they are positioned in there. I feel 90-95% of the kicks on the top and right sides (where A was) but very very little low on the left (where B was last time). I'm trying hard not to be nervous about B, since they got her heart rate on doppler just fine two weeks ago. I can't wait for our growth scan next week so I can see them and know they both are ok. It's so hard not to worry.
Did you ever get to a point where you knew which baby was moving/kicking?
Re: Will I ever have a good idea which one is moving?
i finally can get a real sense of who is who, yes but it took until about a week ago to start really figuring it out....i think as they got bigger it just became more obvious....he is so low down and she is so high up that just on that info alone i know who is doing what in there...so much so that he had the hiccups and i knew it was him and a few hours later she decided to get them as well.
i never thought i would be able to differentiate ....and it took awhile!!
I'm starting to think more and more, in hindsight, that this was me too. I thought I had it all figured out, and I still think for the most part that I was accurate, but I thought only Baby B ever got the hiccups (and they say you can tell if they will get the hiccups out of the womb by whether or not they have them in the womb), and now both my girls get them all. the. time! So who knows? Some of those hiccups that I thought were Baby B were probably Baby A. You should be able to get a general sense though, especially once they really run out of space, if you get the u/s tech to show you exactly where they are. I got her to draw with her hand on my belly, where each baby's head and butt was.
After 2 rounds of IVF & 2 rounds of FET, we were blessed with identical twin girls!
As of last Wednesday A is head down on my left and B is breech on my right. They both had anterior placentas so I didn't feel either until the end if the second trimester. I still don't feel A strongly from the inside, mostly on the outside. I can't always tell which is which if I feel movements in the center. but now that B is breech I can tell more based on the type/size of the movements.
Sounds a lot like how our girls were at the last u/s. They were both vertex. B was way low, with her head near my cervix and A was up under my right rib cage. A has an anterior placenta, so I didn't feel her until a week or two after I started feeling B. Now though it seems like 95% of the movement is high and on the right-a lot right along my sternum. I'm hoping B has her little feet up by my sternum too, or she has gone transverse and she's contributing to the right side kicks... I think it's going to be a long week!
Thanks for sharing your experiences.
