How old for teether biscuits/puffs?

I know DS would like both of these, he's very interested in feeding himself.  He already eats chunkier mashed foods.  How old should a baby be before they get teether biscuits or puffs?

    Our pedi told us when DD can pick up small items with a pincher grip (thumb & forefinger) , she can have puffs/cheerios.

    We started Puff at 7 months.  Ds loves them.  I have never done the teether biscuits, but DS eats crackers and Cheerios now too.

    Have you had any problems because of the wheat in the puffs?  DS has never had wheat before but has had no problems with rice, oats or barley.

    We just tried a biscuit this weekend.  I got Mum-Mums brand rice crackers because they disolve really well.  I watched her like a hawk just waiting for her to choke on it- but she did just fine!  She is 6 months and 1 week old.

    We started puffs right after she got her first 2 teeth at 7 months.  She loves biter biscuits, but just a heads up if you use the Gerber kind they make a HUGE mess.
