Started this week with LO who is almost 14 months. If your child has an allergy to peanuts, at what point did they show the reaction (after how many exposures)?

We accidentally gave it to DS before 1 year. We have no family history or allergies, so when I told my pedi, she said it was okay to continue since he had no reaction. I am a PB addict, but surprisingly he doesn't really care for it.
My pedi says none until 18 months. She is very progressive when it comes to solids and foods, but she sticks to this one even though DD has no allergies and no family history. She thinks research hasn't clearly proven an early exposure to nuts will reduce the likelihood of developing an allergy, and she would much rather see an 18 month old go into a shock than an younger infant, if an allergy were to happen.
Felix started PB at about 8 months. No worries here. Though we've no allergies or sensitivities to anything on either side of the family so I wasn't worried.
Our pedi said the latest research shows no benefits to delaying the introduction of allergenic foods past 9 months unless you have a family history of asthma or food allergies. We fell into this category so we introduced it at about 9 months. We started with just a pea sized amount on our finger early in the day ( so we could watch for reactions) Once that went well after 2-3 tries we started using it on toast etc.
I think around 18 months. I actually would have no hesitation about giving it sooner, but DS#2 is super picky and its hard to get him trying different things (he didn't even completely give up purrees until about 16-17 months). Now he eats it all the time.

DD tried it for the first time I think around 8 or 9 months and there was no reaction. We don't really have food allergies in our family, so I figured I would give it a shot. This was, however, after I gave her some Christmas Stollen, where I forgot it had marzipan in it - but she didn't have a reaction to the almonds, so I figured peanut butter would be the next thing to test
I'm waiting until 2 (DS is 15 months). My 4 year old has a tree nut allergy (but not a peanut allergy) so I just can't get up the motivation to "test". FWIW, we had absolutely no food allergy history in the family and DD reacted to cashews when she was almost 2.5 years old after multiple exposures. If he happens to swipe her PB&J one day or something, fine but I just cannot muster doing a "test". I don't know..i think it's psychological. DD's allergic reaction was so scary I can't bring myself to that place again. The only thing that reassures me is that we already have an Epi-pen in the house so what's the worst that could happen...administer on DS? Ugh...
We get the all clear for everything at 1 year. But of course there were lots of things I gave him that had nut traces in them before and I totally forgot about.
We tried peanut butter at 12 months with both our kids. My brother has severe allergies to many things including peanuts. Luckily, neither child has reacted to any nuts so far.
We started it around a year. The pedi said he could have everything but honey at his 9 mo appointment (we have no history of allergies), but we ended up not really introducing it for a couple months after that. He is obsessed with pb and would eat it all day if we let him.
My DD was staying with a friend of ours when she snatched a peanut butter snack from one of their kids... This was when she was about 10 or 11 months old and she didn't have any kind of reaction. She has since started eating PB on the regular along with the occasional peanut or tree-nut (LOVES cashews...) and no problems here. There are no nut sensitivities in our families though.
Around a year, maybe a bit before. Since the research is conflicting and we don't have any food allergiest I thought I would try a bit early. No problems and she is obsessed with it, it is her favorite food.

My DS got his first taste of PB around 12 months. He had his first severe reaction around 17 months. I would say he had been exposed to it around 10 times before he had his reaction. DH and I have no known food allergies in our families.
Re: When did you/will you give peanut butter to LO?
We gave DS1 pesto at 12 months when we realized he had an allergy.
He reacted after the second exposure.
My pedi recommends not starting PB until after two.
DS's first taste was about 10 months....
No reaction, he's over 2 and has had no reaction to anything as of yet. (Thank God)
