Just google "(your area) 3D ultrasound" and you should get results with places you can go to. Elective places offer 3D scans, usually at a much later time in pregnancy, but most start offering sex checks at 15 weeks. At mine we got a quick glimpse in 3D and luckily the picture wasn't TOO clear, so the baby didn't look like a little zombie alien, which they tend to do early on! Prices vary by area; for some reason Chicago is cheaper so our sex check was $39.
You only have 2-3 more weeks. I'd just wait it out. Knowing the gender really doesn't change anything and IMO its silly to spend the money when you can just wait a couple more weeks.
I get an ultra sound every time I got to my ob. Which is great! My ob said at 14weeks looks like were havin a girl I went back at 16 weeks and the baby is still a girl! You should get one whenever you feel like the time is right!

Ummm, its kinda up to the doctor not the patient.
This, and not every doctor's office does an u/s at every visit (which really isn't recommended anyway). Mine doesn't have the u/s machine right in the exam room. They have to specifically schedule for one, and it wouldn't be because you feel like having one.

I think she was answering OP's question meaning she should get the elective US whenever she feels like the time is right. Not that she should force her Dr. to do one.

Right I was talking more about the 3D ultra sound.
I have a great ob that has a u/s machine in every room. I'm high risk and he has to keep a very close watch on me which is why I get one all the time.
I agree with PP that you have just a few more weeks, I just found out last week and not much has changed, other then my mom went out and bought baby boy clothes, and we are trying to figure out boy names.
Also, a lot of dr really don't suggest elective ultrasounds, even from their own offices- there isn't total proof yet but to much exposer to ultrasounds could be dangerous.
I did mine three weeks earlier than what my doctor's office scheduled and it was definitely worth every penny!!! If we did it later then we wouldn't have been able to tell our family in person and that was important to us. It was at 17 weeks and could clearly see that it is a GIRL

Agree about googling, that's how I found the place we went. Google is your friend
You can also ask on your local.
That said, we had to wait a week for an open appointment so be prepared for that.
