XP: Pre-e question...I think?

I had posted on SAIF, but wanted to post here also in case it is a situation more common in multiples..

?I had to do a 24 ?hour urine collection and my results indicated protein in my urine, but my Dr. said she is not too concerned at this point. At each visit the dip test comes back negative for protein..why is this? My BP is checked every morning and has been OK. Am I on my way to pre-e? I see another dr. in the group on wed and will ask these questions (since of course I thought of them after I left my appt.) but am wondering if anyone has had a similar experience.

    Well, when I went in for my 32 week appointment, I had some protein in my urine, my bp was up some, and I had gained a lot of weight in the past 11 days. I didn't have pre-eclampsia yet, but I was on my way. I was admitted two days later so my doctors could keep an eye on me, and when I delivered the boys 9 days later, I still didn't have full-blown pre-eclampsia, but I probably would have developed it very soon after.

    Maybe you're only spilling protein at certain times of day? I'm not sure how it works, really. Hmm.
