We dont really have a set schedule for her. It seems that it is always changing so it would be tough to try to stick to a schedule. Lately she usually naps around 10am for about 30 min and two naps in afternoon. Had been going to bed around 6:30 and getting up about 6:30am but now I think because of daylight savings is now going to bed at 9pm and getting up about 7 or 8am.
But I am wondering if I tried to get her into a routine do you think it would last or do most babies fluctuate. Its just so tough since I am in school and my class times are different every day and different people watch her each day of week.
Re: anybody else not have set schedule for LO
We definitely don't have one and we are all fine with that. We have a bedtime routine, but even that starts at different times every night.
We do try to have her in bed by ten but we aren't strict about it. If she seems tired earlier, than she goes to bed earlier. If she's not tired at all by ten then she stays up a little later until she is. I'm not going to put her in her crib just because it's ten.
The same thing applies for naps. We put her down when she's acting tired, and let her sleep until she wakes up. She has 2 or 3 naps a day, and they range from 45 minutes to 2 hours. But usually 45 minutes.
She wakes up whenever (between 9:30 and noon), and we just go from there for the day. It works for us because we don't have any other obligations to work around anyway. If your class schedule is different all the time then I personally think having a strict time based schedule for the baby would be hard to do. But a routine could happen, and be effective.
No routine here. I've always been of the mindset that I'd like her to be flexible so when there was a change, she would handle it better. I have no doubt that I will pay for this later.
This exactly. I tried, i forgot after a day
This. It depends on the day.

This is true for us too - the time he wakes up and goes to bed is pretty similar, but his naps are still a bit scattered depending on how long they are. We definitely have a routine not a schedule, and it all gets thrown out the window on the weekend if we have stuff going on.
We don't have one either. DS sleeps whenever he is tired. He does eat routinely every 4-5 hours (formula) and eats 3 meals a day now which are roughly the same time.
But by no means are we on a schedule. We just go with the flow.
