Trying my hand at sewing... Wish me luck!

Ok, I have about had it with my one bra (all I have that fits). It is literally falling apart at the seams. I'd post a picture and show you that it really is, but it's quite embarassing since I've been wearing it for over a year and a half almost straight). I have gone to Nordstroms and they have one bra that would fit me (36J, isn't that disgusting?! I swear I'm a freak of nature because it's impossible to find a bra that won't kill my budget) if I weren't nursing, assuming I was this big if I wasn't, and one other specialty shop in DE has one that fits close enough but not the best of service. So, I took a bra that I had bought in one size smaller and deconstructed it and created a pattern in a larger size and slightly custom so it fits the way I want I think. I started this last night. I am determined to get this finished by the end of the week come hell or high water. So, wish me luck! And I will let you know when I get done with it.....

  • Good luck!  Let me know how it goes - I'm curious.  I have been having problems finding a good nursing bra in the area.

  • Good luck! I need to try my hand at bra making. I hate everyone I've owned - I get tired of my boobs popping out of my old vs bras. I mean seriously, I'm not even that big so who wears these things?!
