My MW said Monday we'll need to schedule a biophysical profile (ultrasound) and an NST. Is that pretty standard when you're overdue? She'll also start seeing me twice a week which I was surprised to hear. I was under the impression that most MW's don't do anything different until 41 weeks.

Mine weren't until I passed 41 weeks. Does she want NST twice a week also? You can skip the u/s if the NST strip is good - the NST alone is an indicator of how the placenta is holding up. (I had a NST the afternoon before DS2 was born, and skipped the u/s part - so we had no idea how big he was going to be). I did have to sign an AMA when I asked not to have the u/s, and got a lecture from the MW on call.
I'm excited for you! Hang in there!!
DS2 - Oct 2010 (my VBAC baby!)
I'll ask her if I can just do the NST for now and we can revisit the u/s question in week 41. Hopefully that will work for everyone.
