Eating Clean and EBFing

Any clean eaters on here? I eat mostly clean now (I tend to do well all day and then slip up at night) and am hoping to clean up my diet more, but I don't want it to affect my milk supply.

I should mention that I have a huge supply right now and that I'm not necessarily looking to cut calories, just to increase the quality of my calories that I eat.  But I still have the cravings from some indulging during pregnancy that I am having trouble kicking.  Any tips?

I love skinny cow ice cream bars, they satisfy without being fatty.also I love vitatops ,the chocolate flavor is great and 100 calories. Fat free sugar free pudding is also a go to snack for me. I'm not sure if this answered your question just throwing out some snacks that are low cal and taste good

  • I eat clean and am also having trouble kicking my preg cravings. Are you craving sugar? I find the only way to kick sugar cravings is to detox from it completely.  As in nothing sweet including fruit for a week, or more if you need it.  If you don't want to kick it but you're looking for a substitute for candy, ice cream and cookies, try fruit or clean homemade baked treats.

YES!! And I am reactive hypoglycemic, so sugar is terrible for me. I eat well all day, but then I go on a serious chocolate bender at night. Maybe I'll do some baking tonight.

BTW, our little ones are just a day apart. My daughter was born on 2/22.

Good luck with your baking. One of my favorite clean sweet treats is black bean brownies. High protein, low sugar and very chocolately. My birthday is actually 2/22 so that is a fantastic day to be born :)
