Sleep books: Pantley or Gordon/Goodavage?

I'm an anti-CIO person (after trying and failing miserably) so I am looking at Amazon right now to order a new book for sleep training. We are bed-sharing and having problems with Clara waking up super frequently wanting to breast feed.

I'm trying to decide between "No Cry Sleep Solution" by Pantley or "Good Nights: the happy parents' guide to the family bed" by Gordon and Goodavage.

Have any of you read either one of these? Recommendations for/against them?

TIA!

  • We have NCSS.  It worked to get LO to stop nursing as frequently during the night (we are down to about 3 feedings a night and that is awesome) but STTN, not so much.  So if you want to help her stop nursing as much, it might help you in that instance.  I have not heard of the other book.
