Tmi about potty stuff - have a question

So the last few days my poop has been green. Do you think there is any reason I should be worried? I haven't eaten anything different or done anything different this week. I'm just not sure if this is something I should call the doctor's office for or not.

    I wouldn't worry about it, but you could ask your doctor to feel better.  Sometimes the combination or amount of what you eat can affect the color.  In any case, it is good practice for a newborn and thinking way more about poop color than you ever did before!  :)

    Nah, I get that sometimes if I eat something that's different or if it is unsettling to my stomach (even if my stomach doesn't feel upset)

    Have you eaten anything blue or purple? I went on a grape soda kick last year and my poop was green from that, something about the dyes in there. I think it can also be from your food getting processed too quickly. I don't think it's anything to really be concerned about. 

     

    Ive been drinking a grape gatorade a day for the last week. Maybe that's it. I forgot about that.

    I had the same thing happen after drinking purple gatorade.  It went back to normal once I started drinking beverages of other colors.  I drank the gatorade again and it turned green again.

    after reading PP and seeing that green poo probably isn't a big problem, I felt better about my initial thought: maybe you're growing a little leprechaun for St. Patty's day and they just wanted to give you an early green surprise Big Smile

    Well, this baby will have a good chunk of Irish genetics thanks to my husband! I just don't want the baby to come out tinted green.

    I'm jealous that you're pooping! lol Constipation sucks!! I finally broke down and bought prune juice today :( I haven't drank it yet but I just ate some chili so I thought I better see if that works first! lol

    this exact thing happened to me too and I have also been drinking purple Gatorade!
