Taking a weekend trip

We are taking a little weekend trip to the nearby city. We are going to stay over night at a hotel and see all we can see while there. The drive is about 2hrs from our house. Anyone have any tips? Anything to help me keep sanity! Usually E sleeps in her car seat but I doubt she will for the entire trip.

    I would just bring a bunch of toys, some puffs (they keep Evan occupied for awhile), binkies...she'll do great. 2 hours isn't too bad.Have fun!

    Just be prepared to stop if needed :) my IL live 300 miles away so we have that fun drive a few times a year.  Are you using their PnP or bringing yours?  I prefer bringing mine just because a hotel is an unknown.  I've seen nice ones and some that I wanted to lysol the crap out of.  We bring the seahorse with us because it's my LO's BFF.

    We do a 6+ hour (one way) trip about once every 1.5 months. Last time it sucked! Usually she just sleeps the entire time other than to eat and change her. But when we went a few weeks ago she decided her car seat was the worst place to be and did a whole lot of screaming! One of us sitting in the back distracting her helped.

    Thanks ladies. Fingers crossed she just sleeps. We are bringing our own PnP and we plan on wearing her. Do they have trays that attach to convertible car seats? That'd be pretty helpful.
