So, this morning I was making my cup of coffee, and DH walks into the kitchen, and with a serious look on his face he says to me "you know, when Kyler gets here, I want you to show me how to put a diaper on right, that way I can help out" I looked back at him, raised an eyebrow and responded with "um, yeah, you thought you were never going to change a diaper? you will be a pro even before he gets here hunny."
Did he really think he was in the clear for that? Ugh, hunny, thats why I love you...
*facepalm*
Re: Oh DH, you thought you were going to be in the clear?
I haven't diapered a baby since I was about 15 (33 now) and my husband never has. I have images of 3 Men and a Baby where we are Tom Sellick and Steve Guttenburg and little Olivia has pee dripping down her legs when the diaper falls off
My husbands idea is to put her bottom 1/2 in a plastic bag and hope for the best
yeah... this happened to my sister while we were out to dinner at a nice restaurant... needless to say, we told the waiter to cancel our order that we had an emergency and had to leave asap... it is deff a moment you will never forget!
Yeah, diapering is really not that hard. He'll catch on. We're doing cloth diapers and I already taught DH how to diaper using a stuffed animal. He had it down in about a minute.

This is us as well. And I think I've held a baby for maybe 2 minutes once in my life. Just gonna have to muddle through :P

haha...you husband and I think alike. I remember one time when I was about 14 and I was babysitting my little brother. He pooped so bad, and it was so smelly...I had not choice but to put him in the shower and hose him down (he was around 2). My sister and I were laughing and crying from the stink. I will never forget that day ;-)
Omg, I am so glad to hear that I'm not the only totally clueless, inexperienced one here! My big baby experience was holding a few new borns and changing diapers in the nursery during nursing school... Oh! Thank God! I'm not alone. I think we'll all make it!
