Has anyone done this? I have Bumgenius 4.0 in the hook and loop and we replaced all the tabs and they still aren't sticking. I am thinking about getting them converted to snaps.
Has anyone used someone who does a great job at this? What is your experience after they have been converted? Do you have any issues where the landing strip use to be in reguards to leaks?
Thanks!
Re: ? about converting velcro to snaps
I converted mine to snaps using a tutorial similar to this one and Kam snap pliers. The tutorial I had was only pictures and did one row of snaps and two snaps in a row on the side tabs. It was really easy, but you do need to take your time, make a template for the snaps and put it away when you get tired. GL. I have been very happy with the snaps and am very glad I did it. After I was done witht he BGs I converted some HH that had curling velcro. I did two rows on them.
I'm currently in the process of this and so far the one diaper I got through came out great (surprisingly for me, who's not AT ALL crafty!). I searched for videos on youtube and that was extreeeeemly helpful! I also went to Joanne Fabrics and ordered all my snaps & snap pliers. They have an entire section for cloth diapers!
There are also some people who will convert them for you for around $3.75/diaper but I just didn't like the fact that I wouldn't have most of my diapers for an extended period of time. This way I can at least convert them at my own pace.
