Hi all...can anyone recommend a good (and reasonably priced) attorney for estate planning. Not that there's much of an estate, but we really need to get a will and guardianship plans etc. Such a happy topic for the night

Ooh, I'm glad you asked...I was planning on asking the same thing once I actually got pregnant, so hopefully someone will have a suggestion I can file away for later.

Also, I'm wondering if people would mind sharing how much money it cost them to do all of this. Someone told me to budget $1000, someone else told me $1000 was too much, but it seems to me like that might actually be a low estimate?

Re: cost. the first time we did it (pre-kids) it was about $1000 give or take (we aren't in Boston, but a comparable market.) When we re-did it, our attorney bundled it with our 2nd parent adoption which was about $3500 for all of the paperwork and 2nd parent adoptions.
