  My mom for sure. I know its korny but its true. She is the strongest and most level headed person I know. It was though being married to my father, he moved us around a lot. I was in 3 different sates when I was in 3rd grade as well as 5th grade. We were always on the run it felt like. Always running from something or chasing something. My sister was born with Trisomy 18 and died at 6 months. My dad left when I was 20 for a man. She survived ovarian cancer.

  I can't say enough about her. Probably the most selfless person I know.

  My grandmother. She lost her first husband while pregnant with their 4th child, and the oldest was only six or seven. She packed up the kids and moved back from CA to MA to have her mom's help. A few years later she built a house and moved out to do it herself. Her SIL's DH left their family, so she & her SIL raised 10 kids between the two of them, and my dad has only the fondest memories of his childhood. 

  She re-met her high school sweetheart around ave sixty, they dated and she kept turning down his proposals because his ex wife was still alive and my grandmother was too catholic to marry him until she passed. They finally got married and he passed seven years later.

  She thinks she's been so lucky in life to have had two such wonderful men in her life. She's never said a mean word about anybody in her life. She volunteers to drive people to their dr appointments through an elderly service organization in town. She also keeps up on her celebrity gossip reading magazines in the waiting room. And goes line dancing twice a week.

  My dad. He's an amazing father, husband and grandfather. He had a difficult life growing up but it didn't hold him back. He served two tours in Vietnam in the 101st Airborne. I am very proud he's my father.
