Any other moms on bed rest?

I was placed on bed rest today by docs orders.. And I go back in to see her Tuesday and see where it goes from here.. Any other mommas going through this?

Figured I would add that I am on bed rest for early labor.. Doctor didn't like that I've dilated and effaced some this early.

Yep. I've been on modified bed rest for 3 weeks. There is a daily bed rest check-in on the high risk board that helps pass the time.

Why are you on bed rest? For me, it was low fluid levels and baby measuring small.

I'm not on bedrest, but I'm not allowed to go back to work. I spent 4 days last week in the hospital so this week makes 2 weeks since I've been at work and I'm already going crazy. I'm so weak and exhausted I can't do anything and I'm not allowed to go out in public so I'm going stir crazy.

I went on bed rest at 27 wks due to pre-term labor. So I've been "stuck" at home for the past 8 and a half weeks. I am officially off bed rest on Saturday, once I turn 36 wks!!! Trust me, it gets REALLY boring, but it's what is best. I could have had my baby 8 weeks ago, but staying off of my feet and taking it easy has kept him in. I found myself watching a lot more TV, being online more, and I even bought a coloring book and crayons to pass the time! LOL.

Was on modified bed rest from 24 weeks and full bed rest from 34-36.

I was put on bed rest today too! Mine is because of high blood pressure. I go back in tomorrow to check it again.

I've been on bed rest for a little over 2 weeks now - and will continue on bedrest until next friday when I turn 36 weeks. I am also on Procardia every 4 hours due to preterm labor. I spent 3 days in the hospital due to having crazy contractions. No fun! It's definitely boring and frustrating to not be able to get up and do alot. I've been a bit of a rebel and have gotten up and done some things (sweep the floor, cook small meals) but thats about it. I keep thinking!! Only 8 more days and then I'm free to have him whenever he is ready (which in my opinion wont be long after I get off bedrest and off meds. I can already tell that my body is wearing down --- im in so much pain from all of the pressure that he is putting on my insides!

My friend was on bed rest with her second baby. She got through it with magazines, books, and her make up.

I'm on bed rest for pre-term labor.. My doctor is seeing me again Tuesday to do another exam.. I went in having contractions last night.. So I'm hoping this time flies by!

Yep...I've been on bed rest since 33 weeks...I'm 38 weeks tomorrow. First three weeks were modified bed rest and the last 2 have been strict. I am slowly going INSANE...........I am on it for elevated blood pressure. I have been going for bi-weekly NSTs and weekly appointments for awhile now. Everything else has been fine except my BP. I'm hoping at my appointment tomorrow they will tell me I can get at least on modified bed rest so I can do a few more things. I am having a scheduled c-section at 39 weeks, so not long now, but I am so tired of tv, internet and reading I could scream! It's been really a difficult experience and really lonely even though I have my mom here helping me with my 4 yo and the house. I feel like a giant blob. I know it's almost over though, so just need to keep focusing on the end result! (when I'm not freaking out how I'm going to handle 2 kids!)

There are lots of us on bedrest & modified bedrest over on the high risk board. Why were you put on bedrest? I was put on modified bedrest at 25 weeks, so I have been here 6 weeks. Was put on the modified bedrest for iugr ( in thed 5th percentile) and for low fluid ( started bedrest at 4cm, my u/s today showed 10cm. been gainng a cm a week)

I have no idea what the dr will say.. but I know how you feel. I got put on bed rest back in December(i was probably about 26 or 27 weeks along.. i cant quite remember) due to unknown bleeding along with high blood pressure. I was thankfully able to go off bedrest back in the beginning of February.. but told to take it easy.

SO i know exactly how you feel.. and i promise itll get better. I was luckily able to move from the bed to the couch if i wanted- so i spent most of my time out there watching hours of baby documentaries and comedies(such as knocked up). I dont know if your on strict bedrest or not, but if your not. Get out of the bedroom once in awhile and enjoy having the babys father help out. I think that was the first time i ever saw josue try to cook, it didnt turn out well, but i was proud of him for trying.. Good luck sweetheart.

I've been on bed rest since 24 weeks and I'm on it until 36 weeks...so about 8 weeks left to go. I had an emergency cerclage put in at 21 weeks due to a short cervix. It sucks, I'm not going to lie. It's especially hard with an almost 2-year-old, and we've had to put her in day care a few days a week so I can actually rest. If you don't have any other LOs yet, be thankful, because bed rest is hard for everyone. I read a lot, watch movies, internet, research baby items, play some computer games...the time passes eventually.

I'm on bed rest, I've been on bed rest since 19 weeks, for a total of 9 weeks now. I will be on bed rest until 36 weeks. I am on bed rest due to cervical incompetence, I have a cerclage which helps to keep the cervix closed. I also had a preterm labor scare two weeks ago. I am on procardia to prevent contractions.

Bed rest is hard, but I am learning to crochet to pass the time, I also read, watch TV/movies.

I hope you have a good appointment on Tuesday.

I am just finishing my first week of bed rest due to pre-term labor. I will be on bed rest until 37 weeks. It is a lot harder than I would have thought. I am finding the most difficult thing is having to rely on everyone else to do everything, I hate asking DH to do everything, he has been so amazing. I have been watching a lot of Nextflix and tv so far, we'll see what the next 5 weeks brings.
