Hi ladies,
I am 4 wks 6 days since LMP. I did first urine pregnancy tests on Sunday and they were all positive, although faint. I did a CB digital test on Sunday also, later on in the day and it was negative. I did it the next day and it was positive. I did another one at the doctor's office and it was also positive though faint.
Today (two days later) i did the dollar store brand of pg test and it was neg! I was so shoked that I did another and that was mildly positive, and another Kroger brand one was mildly positive also. Where I am in my preg, is it normal to get false negative later on during the day?? Or should my hormone levels be so high that the time of day shouldn't make a difference?? Please please advise!
Re: Freaking out a little bit
On Sunday I used Clear blue early response, 2 store brand test and an online ordered pregnancy test - all positive although faint. Later that day I tested with Clear Blue Digital and it said not pregnant. I did the Digital test again the following day with first morning urine and it said pregnant.
The following day I did a urine test at the doc's office and this was in the afternoon so im assuming my urine was dilute - it was positive although faint. That was two days ago.
You mentioned KU, what does that mean? I am 1 week late, at this how should my urine hcg levels be?
Appreciate you responding so so much!!
if you keep getting mixed results, try a non-blue dye test, test in the morning, and if it's still giving you mixed signals, schedule an appt for a blood test.
If you did test at the Doctor's and it was positive than you are pregnant. Stop testing. Pregnancy test's don't measure exactly how much HCG there is. If you look at the box it will tell you how much HCG they are capable of detecting. If you are below that they won't detect.
If you want a real answer to how much HCG you have schedule a blood test.
At 5 weeks, if you ovulated/conceived later, it is definitely possible to get mixed results. There are some other things that could cause that, but I wouldn't worry about those yet. I have never heard of a false positive (other than a dye bleed on the cheap tests). You can get false negatives though, particularly late in the day.
Call the doctor if you're concerned, they can do a blood test to confirm. Your first appt won't be until you are 8-10 weeks most likely, but they can still test your HcG...
