Non Clicky Poll: Birthday Time

For some reason, I cannot create a clicky poll on TB today or I'm a moron. Wait, that's not question in the poll.

Is 10 am too early for a b-day party? We found a venue and the only time available on her b-day is 10a-11:30 am. Most of the invitees are in DC f/t.

Edit: the party would be 10 am Saturday. I mention DC/preschool b/c most children/parents are used to waking up early. There is one SAH family who are night owls sleep 2a-10a (even the 3 yo) so I know that will interrupt their schedule.

Re: Non Clicky Poll: Birthday Time

  • Not at all except if it was a Sunday morning since people would be at church possibly. But if it's a Saturday 10 am is perfectly reasonable.  Heck I have trouble explaining to my 2 why we can't go out and ride bikes at 7 am most weekends LOL

I think it's a perfect time for 1-yr-olds. Between naps and before lunch.

  • Heck no, I love morning parties so they don't eat away the middle of my day!
  • Is her birthday on a weekend? I'm confused by that last statement... If the invitees are in DC, that means that both patents are working and would have to take off to go to the party if it were during the week. 10am on a weekend is great, 10am on a weekday is terrible.

    Yes

  • We just had DS's bday (3) at 10am a few weeks ago. It was great and everyone loved the time because the kids got all tired out and then went home and napped. The only people who complained were my sister and her boyfriend because they don't have kids and they thought the time was ridiculous. They got over it :)
