Can the cord look like a penis?

So I had my appointment with my re today and when the ultrasound went up, I saw something sticking straight up. My first thought was penis but then she measure the cord blood flow and it looked like she was measuring the same place. She did move the wand a little so it may have been in another area during the measurement. I thought she would look at the actual gender like she tried to two weeks ago, but she didn't. And of course I did ask (stupid me). So, does anyone know if the cord can look like a penis or is my baby a boy? I don't have my as till Tuesday and on pins and needles.

You can see the cord sticking up in our ultrasound pictures (17 w), but it's way to high up on his belly to be a penis. His boy parts are smaller and harder to see unless it's looking right at his bottom. Hope that helps!

I asked a tech that and she said it can if the tech doesn't know what s/he is doing. They also show blood flow (or at least do for mine) during the AS which was very distinctive from the little peni on my boys. If she was looking at blood flow, it should have been red/blue during that part, and you need a full money shot (both thighs) for a good gender guess, rather than a side shot or any other angle they'd be more likely to use for a cord check.

When you were looking at it did you see a brighter white dot or line on it? When you see the penis in the ultrasound the end of it will look like a white line or dot. My ultrasound tech taught me this because I was asking how she knew between the cord and the penis. I am pregnant with twins .. a boy and a girl.
If your having a girl you would see three small lines in between the legs. This is where she is starting to develop.
I am high risk .. with an incompetent cervix .. and had a cervical cerlcage at 13 weeks .. and I am expecting twins so I have an ultrasound every two weeks so I have been learning all kinds of neat stuff about ultrasounds ..
