Plus size maternity clothes...where to find?

I need your help, ladies.
My local Wal-Mart and Target SUCK for maternity sections (and esp for plus size).  The Wal-Mart in particular has exactly 1 little shelf of maternity and when I checked it out yesterday, it was all shorts and sleeveless tops...in MN when we're heading into winter...makes perfect sense, no?

Anyway...where do you go to find decent stuff?  I'm kind of at a loss...I don't know of any stores close to me and anything I've seen online I sort of waffle back and forth because it looks ugly/stupid/nms, etc.

My main problem now is pants...I had to buy just a bigger size non-maternity yesterday so I could be semi-comfy, but I know this won't last long.

TIA,

Sarah

  • I found a pair at Motherhood Maternity last week, more than I wanted to pay but SO worth it to have a comfy pair of jeans for once.  I can wear regular sized maternity shirts but I have huge hips so I end up in plus size maternity pants.  Check Ebay too, they have a huge selection if you're not bothered by used clothes.  Good luck!
  • Motherhood has plus size.

  • Motherhood Maternity has been the best for me, but its so expensive if they're full price.  Luckily the store closest to me always has a bunch of clearance stuff.

  • I found a lot at www.lanebryant.com in the maternity section.  I had problems with pants also becasue I am plus size and tall.  GL.
  • I'll have to see if there is a Motherhood near me...or maybe just online.

    thanks!

  • I got most of my tops from Old Navy and JcPenny.  Also Motherhood Maternity has have had a lot of sales so u might be able to find something for a good price.

Also you can check Lane Bryant ( they are expensive) but they only carry there maternity line on line.

    Check out Motherhood Maternity.

This is the place to go if you can. The store near me usually always has new stuff on sale weekly.

  • Old Navy and Motherhood both have a decent selection. Online at least.
  • Hola!

Yes Its hard to find the right fit of stuff when your a big girl. I got some of my clothes at Motherhood outlet if you have one near they have great stuff but I would try it on before buying cause the sizes are off at times. I also bought a bunch of clothes at jcpenny.com they had the free shipping and they also have plus size maternity clothes on the outlet site. I got a bunch there and love the clothes. For pants its been very hard...I had to buy my jeans on ebay cause they were just way too expensive to buy at the store...motherhood wanted 54 for a pair...yikes! As it is I have to buy nicer stuff for work so I couldn't afford that. I got sweaters at the Jcpenny local store they have these really cute ones that fit for pregos.

    Good luck!

  • Search motherhood online and do the store locator with motherhood plus to find which stores carry their plus sized clothes.

    Good luck!

  • I'm not sure what you size was pre-pregnancy, but I'm a 16/18. I've been  having trouble finding clothes too - first because of  my size and second because Albuquerque is not a big city and stores like Old Navy, Gap, etc don't have maternity clothes. I found a whole bunch of clothes (on sale too!) at Sears this weekend. The shirts I bought were XL and about $15 and the pants were 16/18 and $20.
