Labeling clothes for daycare

Whats the best way to do it, just write on in them with permanent marker? I feel like I am defacing them!

I do the iron on label and then I'm sure to not put it where the sizing label is. But yes, I feel the same way!

We use name bubbles. They are custom waterproof labels that stay on until you remove them.

Yes, I did the permanent marker on a couple of her things, like sheets and blankets. But for all her clothes, I just put them in a large ziplog bag and wrote her name on the bag. The clothes stay in the bag until she needs them (which is rare) and then they put her dirty clothes in her go-home bag. So far I haven't marked up any clothes, which is good in case I want to use them on another baby or donate them later.

another vote for namebubbles.com. We got the daycare pack and I just bought more of the little dots - figured I will be using those for clothes for the next few years... they are really cute.
