just trying to figure out my plan and path as we get ready for our baby!
can you use regular diapers that come through a diaper service with a thirsties cover? bum genius... maybe stuffing them?
any advice...as I can't tell which are more applicable for me.
Thanks!
Re: thirsties/bum genius ...and regular cloth diaper service
You can use any cover of your choice pretty much - and a thirsties cover would be an excellent choice. You can usually use them more than once before washing and they're pretty low maintenance. The only thing I don't like is the velcro because it's a pain in the wash - but it gives a great fit and is easy to put on. I'd check out the version 2 which recently came out. It looks like they've improved some things on it to make it even better!
If you were going to stuff prefolds as inserts into BGs, then there wouldn't be much of a point in having a diaper service. You'd have to wash the BGs anyway, so why not just throw the prefolds in there as well?

I know there is a diaper service (Modern Diaper Service) that serves the Baltimore/DC area- a friend of mine started out using cloth for her 1st son's 1st 2 months using Modern Diaper Service and really liked it- she just bought the used prefolds from the service at the end of 2 months. She uses prowraps or litewraps over the prefolds- she bought them from Nikki's diapers. Also I know she has some fitteds and BG's as well-- but she didn't start using those until she was done w/ the diaper service.
