My son is turning 3 next month and I was looking for outside toys for him. He already has a few power-wheels toys, balls, bats, sand table......he is ALL boy, what do you suggest???
Ds like the stomp rocket. He has a shovel, rake and hoe that are kid sized that he likes. We have a crazy water sprinkler (has a bunch of little sprinkler offshoots that spray in crazy directions). He will sometimes want me to draw different stuff with sideway chalk. He loves to water my plants so I make sure we have a hose that he can control the nozzle on. He likes his bug catching container (just a little mesh box thing to put bigs in after you catch them). He had a bubble gun he also liked (you fill with bubbles and when they pull the trigger it sends a continuous stream of bubbles). He has a radio flyer wheelbarrow he likes to fill with stuff. Mostly, he likes just wandering around the yard picking up rocks and sticks and digging in the dirt.
He does have a radio flyer scooter and a bike with training wheels but he almost never wants to ride those.

Scooter, roller skates, sticks, the hose, a small hand shovel, rocks, lots of buckets, a slip n slide, bubbles and sidewalk chalk are what we play with most often.
a fun sprinkler, bubbles, side walk chalk, toddler sized basket ball hoop, balls of all different sizes, sand table, a one person mini trampoline that I happened to have for exercising, water table, and squirt toys that aren't guns. We also bought him one of the battery operated Hummer cars or whatever it is that a kid can sit in and drive. We are waiting until it gets nicer out to give him that one.
I'll probably buy him a big wheel type thing this year and other bigger ride on toys.

DS has a 3 in 1 sports set that he loves (lacrosse, soccer, hockey. FP maybe?). Also a crazy sprinkler, golf set, a variety of balls, pirate water table, big dump truck, sidewalk chalk, and little tikes jungle gym. He also loves just riding his trike and watering the plants.
