i have been ebf my lo for 2months now and he just started losing weight so we had to throw some formula into our feeding schedule. he is now gaining weight but i wanna start pumping more to keep better track of how much he i eating and i saw on the medela site by there examples im using the wrong shield, but how do i know which size to buy, do i guess and waste money if im wrong. any info would be greatly appreciated

Do you have health insurance? Some cover it. Some LC's that work in hospitals run weekly breastfeeding support groups that are free whether or not you have insurance, and they would definitely tell you about fit of breast shields. The LC at my hospital had a little plastic thing with different sized holes to actually put your nipple through and measure size so you didn't have to try different ones until you got it right.
