Re: breast shield size?

  • Do you have any specialty breastfeeding stores near you?  I EP-ed w/ DS using 27's.  This time I've been working with a LC and she said I need 36's.  I had no idea so it may be helpful to have someone experienced fit you.

Do you have health insurance? Some cover it. Some LC's that work in hospitals run weekly breastfeeding support groups that are free whether or not you have insurance, and they would definitely tell you about fit of breast shields. The LC at my hospital had a little plastic thing with different sized holes to actually put your nipple through and measure size so you didn't have to try different ones until you got it right.
