Getting Married

I posted this on my WMB on TK too, but I need ideas. We're getting married in September and I'm trying to figure out a sweet way to incorporate J in the ceremony, besides the usual as being in the WP etc. Any and all ideas welcome :)

    When my friend got married her DD, the "flower girl" and nephew "ring bearer" were wheeled down the aisle in a wagon in their dress and tux. The babies were around 10 months and it was adorable. Congrats!

    I second that idea. I also wanted to say congratulations! We are getting married in August. Yay weddings!

    When we got married we toyed around with the idea of having special vows to the kids, especially since theyre not biologically Jeffs. We decided not to & stuck to a standard ceremony. She was my flower girl & stood next to me to hold my flowers & he was our ring bearer who clung to Jeffs leg the entire time, that was more special for us I think than adding in something specific to them because while we are a family it was Jeff & my marriage.

    I hope that makes sense.

    I don't know how helpful this will be, but I googled babies in wedding ceremonies and this is one of the sites that came up. The first pic is adorable and there is a visual to inspire a bit of what the pp's were saying about the baby in the carriage:

    Makes perfect sense, and what I've been considering the whole time. After all, I've been planning this wedding since before he was concieved.

    DH's Step-Sister is getting married in August, and they (her and her F) Each have 2 kids. They are getting the girls a locket that has something about family on it, and getting the boy (he's 10) a swiss army knife that's engraved, that he can have when he's older. They are going to present the gifts during the wedding ceremony to make the kiddo's part of it. HTH
