Baby Powder

I got a bottle of baby powder as a shower gift. It was just been sitting on her dresser, obviously not being used. I know there are reasons not to use it on baby, etc.

I was just curious what you ladies use it for, baby-related or not.

Re: Baby Powder

  • You might laugh.... But I use baby powder on a couple pairs of my sandals when my feet get sweaty... That way my feet don't stick to the sandals all day long and my feet don't feel gross. Embarrassed

Definitely this...any time I wear any shoes without socks/hose actually.

  • I put it in ballet flats that I wear without socks.  They get really nasty without it!Angel

Also,  my sister used it to put in between fat rolls on her LO that got sweaty in the summer.  We haven't had that problem with LO yet because we live in the Northeast, but am sure we will have problems with those super chunky thighs of his this summer.

  • I agree with everyone else!  I use it in shoes I wear without socks, especially in warm (hot) weather!
  • Well now I don't feel like such a weirdo! My mom used to give me funny looks when she watched me do it!

  • You can also use it for hard wood floors to get rid of squeaks or on your hands if you play pool (which I do) to keep the cue from sticking to your hand/fingers when you play.

  • If you're going to the beach this summer, bring it along...if you sprinkle just a little bit on the skin where sand sticks (you know how it sometimes just gets crusted onto your skin, even if you try to rinse off?)  sprinkle a bit on there, then just dust it off...the sand comes right off!

Ha! I was too embarrassed to admit this! Now I have no shame since others are fessing up to it!

We put it over the door threshold to keep ants out. They wouldn't come near it. I've used it when I didn't have time to wash my hair, but I ended up looking like I had grey hair :

This really works?  We have those tiny black ants every spring.  They just started coming in the house 2 days ago.  Can you sprinkle this around the whole house (outside and inside)?  What if it's scented powder? Will that still work?  (lavender)

I keep a bottle in my beach bag.  Before I get in the car I sprinkle it in my hands and rub all over my legs and feet, or anywhere else, to get the sand off.
