The first time you were pregnant - did your water break on it's own, was it broken for you, or neither (explain). With DS, mine was neither. My water came gushing out after DS came out. If you have already had 2 kids, were the outcomes the same?
I'm wondering the same thing. My water broke with DD...that was the start of my labor. I'm kind of hoping it happens again so I can know for sure that I'm really in labor.

My water broke on its own. I really hope that happens again too. But most people dont have the same thing happen both times from what ive read from this question before. I once read only 10% of womens water actually breaks on its own anymore. I sure hope mine does.
mine were different with DS#1 they broke my water at like 9 cm with DS #2 my water broke at home at 36w this time I am paranoid it will break on its own while I am at work

With DD1, my water broke while I was at the hospital in labour - I was about 6-7cm dialated and was actually in the shower when it happened. I didn't notice it, but it was intact when I went in the shower and was fully dialated and water was ruptured when I came out.
With DD2, the OB broke my water to try and help DD descend - I was 9cm dialated at the time. I ended up with a c-section with her.
Water broke first with DS... and then I never went into labor on my own, so I was induced and dnded up with a c/s. I'm hoping I contract this time instead of having my water break first.
With my first my waters broke at home 4 weeks before my due date. It started out as a trickle, then as I was on the phone with the on-call doctor there was a huge gush, it continued to trickle out for about an hour or two after the gush.
I had a slow leak that we didn't know about until I went for an ultrasound to be induced and they saw I only had half the fluid. I ended up with an urgent/unplanned c/s the next day due to fetal distress.

Mine broke while I was getting a pedicure, 10 days before my due date. I already have my pedicure scheduled 10 days before. We will see if it happens again. Unlikely- but its worth a try

I had my water broken for me with both previous labors. I was not progressing past 8 cms with #1 so they offered but I declined. But after being stuck at 8 for 8 hours (total 28 hours of labor at that point) I agreed. DS was out 2 hours later. I stalled at 6 cms for 4 hours with #2, and knowing what happened the first time, I requested them to break my water. DD was out 30 minutes later!
My water broke with both DDs (and both around 1:30am)- first time I turned in bed to switch sides and felt two small gushes, and had a continued, small leak - and then my contractions really started. With DD2, same thing, turned in bed, but felt a huge gush and was completely soaked - contractions came really fast this time and with each one I continued to gush water. DD1 labor was 5hrs from water breaking, DD2 was 3hrs. Fun Fun I don't know what to expect this time around, we'll see. . .Good luck!
Mine was broken for me last time...I was in labor for a while and it never broke, they did it. Weird weird feeling! lol I ended up not progressing with my last labor and had to have a c-section, so this time I'm having a repeat c-section. Kinda makes me wonder though what happens if your bag isn't ruptured when you have a c-section.
Re: 2nd timers - water breaking ?
i was induced at 37 weeks and they broke my water (i was 4cm before that)
DS2 i had struggled with preterm labor since 32 weeks and my water broke on its own at 37w2d.
