Because it added to the anticipation? I don't know if I'd be able to hold out, not knowing! But I toy with the idea when we have our next.
I really wanted to know, but DH wanted the surprise so I agreed to wait. I was glad I did because it was nice being surprised when she was born. We're waiting again this time, which is even harder since I don't know if I need to get new clothes or anything. I did buy a lot of unisex things first time around (including highchair and that kind of stuff) just in case we had a boy this time. Plus we can't agree on a girl's name so it might be nice to know if we don't need to argue about it, but whatever. I guess I can wait again.

I really dont know how to describe it, its exciting to see on the ultrasound but its so much more meaningful for us to have found out when he was born this time around.

I didnt find out with Tim, I was kind of afraid if they told me I was having a girl Id be disappointed ( i really wanted a boy first) and figured if I waited even if it was a girl how could you be disappointed when you held your LO for the first time.
With Nick I found out and I pretty much knew I was having another boy because there havent been any girls on my husbands side as far back as his great grandfather so it was pretty much a given.

We hadn't planned on being team green, but for the anatomy scan, LO did not cooperate and we didn't want an elective ultrasound, so we didn't know. At first I was upset that we didn't get to find out, but then I preferred that way. It was especially meaningful to us because my birth plan went out the window (unexpected c/s and more, bleh) and about the only thing that went according to plan was my husband announcing if it was a boy or girl.
I did for #1, but for #2 we are going to be team green! I think we should have for out first one, but my mom and friends freaked out over the shower. This next time it won't be an issue, no shower! I have plenty of non specific stuff and go out and get some cute stuff later on.
