Clubfoot casting starts today

Good morning everyone! This is my first post on this board since moving over from pg after 35. Our son was born 7 weeks ago with a right clubfoot. We begin treatment today, casting of his leg, and I'm so nervous. A has been such a good baby and I feel so bad for putting this wrinkle in his world.

So, I just wanted to finally introduce myself and ask for T&Ps today for baby A. Maybe throw a couple in there for mommy's nerves too. Thanks.

Good luck! A friend of mine is going through this with her baby girl - it's hard work and stressful, but I'm sure it will be worth it in the long run.

the good news is he's so young and you are doing the treatment now, that i'm sure he will respond very well (and quickly). He won't remember it, either. My husband is an Orthotist and makes special braces for kids with all different types of ortho issues. the earlier the intervention the better. I'm sure it's tough for a mom to watch, but you are helping him, too!! positive thoughts to you and your family.
