I've always wanted a Bugaboo. Forever. Well, since I visited NYC 7 years ago and saw them everywhere. When I looked at the styles on their site about a month ago, I couldn't really figure out the differences vs. value vs. price. So I just hopped on Craigslist and found a Frog in excellent shape in the color I wanted for $200. We bought it that night and couldn't be happier. I don't know what the Donkey has that the Frog doesn't, but ours has the great steering, the storage underneath, the light weight, etc. When I look at the chart, it appears to be the same. So if it's like my Frog, then I give it a hearty endorsement.
We have the frog and it was nice to have the bassinet when our son was a baby. Thought about getting the Donkey since we have the 2nd one on the way, but we really haven't even used the Frog as much to make it worth the money we spent on it. We invested in a good carrier and that has been our preferred method of hauling babies/toddlers around. Much easier than hauling around a bulky stroller and so much cheaper.
Where do you live? If you live in the city and walk everywhere for everything, I'd consider it. If you are more likely to be loading it in a car and taking it somewhere, skip it.m

We were told by a family member that they were going to purchase it for us. We are thrilled but def would not have gone out and bought it ourselves, very expensive, as we just bought our first home.

Did you use bassinet on stroller In your home or when you were out and about he took naps in bassinet feature?
We have the Cameleon for everyday and the Bee for travel and I think our plan is to sell/trade in the Cameleon and get the Donkey. We live in the city and use our stroller like a car, so it is worth the high price for us. Seriously, the Bugaboos are the best thing we purchased for ds. A lot of people have Donkeys here (Dublin, Ireland) and we have test drove a friend's who just had a second baby. It is by far the best double buggy I have "driven".
Re: using the bassinet for baby to sleep in at home, we did this with ds. He napped great in it (he often fell asleep when we were out and about walking and I would just leave him in there when we got home to wake up on his own. He will even still nap in the child seat (that you use when they are too old for the bassinet) to this day--it reclines all the way back and is super cozy (especially with the foot muff on). This is priceless to me since we are on the go all the time.

^Sorry I just want to add that the child seat seems to be a bit narrower than the one on the Cameleon. This isn't a problem for us as ds is skinny, but my friend has a huskier toddler and she noticed the seat is not as roomy for him as the one on her Cameleon's was...

We spent about an hour at the store on Sunday trying to decide between the Bugaboo Cameleon and the Uppababy Vista. The Vista has an add-on seat for a second child but it's behind the first seat-not sure how you might feel about that. FWIW, we ended up getting the 2012 Vista. It pushed just as well as the Cameleon, folded a LOT easier, and had a much bigger basket.

The Donkey can be used as a double.
