Can we brag about our LO's?

Any new accomplishments?

My girl finally has started STTN.  She's always been an ok sleeper but this is the best!  That said, she has absolutely no desire to crawl.

Re: Can we brag about our LO's?

  • Fun, yes! Mine has decided she should clap and say "yay" to herself constantly. It is the cutest thing I have ever seen. She is constantly saying "dada" and "hi", and of course. "hi Dada", but will not say "mama" for the life of her.  She is also nowhere near the realm of crawling.

But I am so very glad for you that your DD is STTN! That is certainly one of  the best accomplishments!

  • He has had "mama" down for a few weeks, but now he has added a lot of "dada" and "gaga". Then there is this weird one "a-goy-a-goy-a-goy". It's sounds like he is saying "Oh Boy Oh Boy!", and it is so stinkin cute.

His first tooth (maybe two?) finally popped through yesterday. We have had a rough week.

As far as mobility, he is still a sack of potatoes. He is not going anywhere anytime soon. He screams unless he is sitting or standing. We still fight tummy time every day.

  • Clara is all about mobility these days! She is a super fast crawler now and pulls herself up on tables, sofas, and my legs so she can stand. And today she walked around the table holding onto it for the first time! She is still not anywhere near STTN unfortunately, and no words yet, but lots of sounds. And she waves hi and bye :)

  • Gracie waves hello and goodbye lately (and she's earning herself a Miss America nickname for her style of waving), and it is so cute!

  • DD figured out how to open one of the cabinet doors today in the kitchen at grandma's house. She proceeded to pull out the tupperware/plastic storage bins and try to climb inside. I have many pictures of me doing the exact same thing 26 years ago. My mom and I thought it was very entertaining!

  • B is very interested in mobility, she rolls around, lunges for things and gets herself up onto all 4s, but no crawling just yet! It is so cute to watch her get up on all 4s and REALLY focus though Smile.

Tonight at dinner we were just cracking each other up. I've actually never heard her laugh that hard, we were making funny sounds at each other and I was making faces and waving my arms. It might just me my favorite mommy moment to date Big Smile!

She has also been sleeping pretty well lately. She dropped her last night time feed about a month ago. She still wakes up once or twice about every other night, but she is sleeping about 10 hours during the night. Her naps have also significantly improved, we usually have one 2 hour nap everyday. I was very happy to say goodbye to the 45 minute intruder (I hope this doesn't jinx us!).

  • I don't know if this is really an accomplishment, but it's something new. Saoirse just got another tooth yesterday - that makes 5 now! She was so cranky and refused to drink her bottles all day. She was also biting my clothes and even the carpet. I finally decided to put a little teething gel on her gums and felt a new little tooth had broken through on top. The poor kid has been in so much pain :(

  • I don't know anything about STTN - DD still wakes about three times to nurse over a 12-hour stretch of sleep. BUT, yesterday she walked clear across the living room pushing one of those walkers with wheels!

  • He can stand up holding onto the couch for what seems like forver now, and he has also started climbing, like over us, over his toys etc.  He is a rough and tumble boy for sure.
