Toddlers: 12 - 24 Months

Anyone else dealing with early 2 year molars??

I thought we'd get a break from teething when Liam's canine teeth finally came in after a horrendous 2 months of no sleep for any of us.  But, it seems like his two year molars are coming in and he's not even two yet!!

He's right back to sticking his hands up in his mouth, drooling, chewing on anything be can find and waking up at all times of the night.  His teeth take a seriously long time to cut through the gums after he first starts showing symptoms so we are prepared for another two months or more of teething hell.

What I would give for one, uninterrupted night of sleep.  Just 8 solid hours, please!!

  • I think we are dealing with molars here too! DD has been chewing on anything and a bit cranky....it does seem to come and go.

Sorry I disrupts you and your LO's sleep so much. Tylenol seems to help DD sleep...but she a pretty good sleeper anyways.

GL and hang in there mama!

  • LOL, I beat you all with my 16 month old working on his.  He finished cutting canines in January and recently started shoving his hands in his mouth, drooling, cranky episodes, etc.  It's really hard for me to see that far back in his mouth, but I think I can see white bulges in his top gums.  He tends to have finished cutting teeth when the teething charts say they should start coming in, so I imagine we'll be done by 20 months.

  • Yes, my son has 3 molars already and he's only 14 months old.  It's horrible, he's constantly drooling.  He got his first one right after his 1st birthday and he was sooo cranky.

  • My son had 16 teeth by 16 months. At 20 months he is now working on his last 2 top molars. Now to get through the last 2 bottom molars after that.
