we have a burley (friend gave us his before they moved)...i don't use it, but DH loves it and says and that it's considered to be a very good one. they are expensive. we don't have the parts to turn it into a double stroller, but intend to get them.

I got the double Chariot Cougar off CL with the bike attachment, jogger wheel, and regular stroller wheels. There are generally lots on CL in pretty good condition. I got a Specialized toddler helmet for DD.
We have a single Burley and have been very happy with it. They have 2 seater options too.
We didn't get the parts to convert it to a stroller simply because we don't have a lot of storage space (no garage) and it would be more cumbersome than a fold up stroller to get up and down the stairs all the time. I'm sure if you had a driveway and a garage the stroller conversion would be a great option. However I remember something like there are lots of parts that have to be switched out in order to convert from trailer to stroller (ie a PITA to switch from trailer on the weekend to stroller during the week and back again)
This post reminds me we need to get a tagalong for DS1 so DS2 can ride in the trailer now.
We have a cheap instep. It converts to a jogger but we don't have the parts. DH used it for the first time last week, it doesn't look like we'll be able to fit both kids in there. But we have no complaints about it so far.

We have an awesome Burley that fits both, but the boys fight like parana when they're in there together. We have the jogger attachment and it's great. There is a regular "stroller" attachment that I wouldn't waste my money on. Get the attachment with the big tire. Not the little plastic wheel.
