Besides purpleroofs, is there some type of gay friendly travel directory? I'm looking for something that discusses how gay friendly (or not) certain travel destinations are. Anything like that exist?
Before we had kids, we'd pretty much go anywhere...I'm feeling a little more cautious now.

Re: Gay friendly travel directory?
Nothing like being outed by your kids all.of.the.time.
gaytavel.com and outtraveler.com looks like they have information like that. Where are you thinking of going???
Here's another option: https://damron.com/
They have a book as well. I used to use it when I was single, but I'm sure it would give you a sense of destinations.
I know determining safe/comfortable travel plans can be tricky. I was really glad to see that our hotel in Cancun has the following statement: "This property is affiliated with the International Gay & Lesbian Travel Association (IGLTA) and welcomes lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) guests."

Cautiously optimistic.
I totally forgot about those books. We used to have one 10y ago!
awesome, I'll check all those out, thanks!
we're super excited to start travelling with the kids. for our first trip I'm thinking PR, caribbean, or south america. Tropical (ie: sit our bums on the beach for a week), short enough flight, but still get to experience a different culture and way of living.
DW is pushing for a cruise and/or Disney...but i'm feeling like I could put that off for a couple more years. we'll see who wins

May I throw in a vote for Aruba? We went with J last August, and it was WONDERFUL. We had no issues with being a two-mom family, the weather was fantastic, and the water - OHMYGOSH what is that water?
Can you tell I can't wait to go again?
