I am just devastated for a friend (pg loss mentioned)

I have a dear friend that went through A LOT to have her first child:  several years of IF, 2 losses and then her DS was born through a GC.  They did IVF again with the same GC and got pg again.  She just texted me that they lost the baby.  16 week appt today and the heart had stopped beating.  I am just so sad for her, I mean seriously, hasn't she gone through enough?  I don't even know what to say because "sorry" seems so inadequate.  

Also, selfishly, I am just a mess now about my pg.  With DS I will admit I was a full on crazy pregnant lady.  I constantly worried about something bad happening.  This time I have been much more laid back and not stressing as much.  I think having DS and selling a house to keep me busy has been a good thing.  This news has just brought all those feelings back to the surface though.  My first u/s is this friday and now instead of being excited I am terrified.  I hate these feelings and was really hoping to not have them my entire pregnancy this time.  

Ugh, this all just sucks.

    So incredibly sad for your friend. Try to sty positive, any extra added stress is not good righ now. I know easier said than done. Praying for peace for your friend.

    August 2011 - Femara/1500mg Met/ Baby Aspirin - c/p

    September 2011 - Puregon/ 1500mg Met/ Baby Aspirin - BFFN!!!!

    That is terrible.  Just try to keep in mind that the outcome of her pregnancy won't change yours, and worrying won't change anything either.  I know that's easier said than done but it really is out of your hands.

    I'm typically pretty laid back about everything but for some reason my anxiety was out in full force for DD, I never really worried about much when pregnant with DS.
