So My ex sent me his income deduction order from work and it showed two payments have been deducted last month. Well I never received them through the state.. This was 2 weeks ago which seems like plenty of time to hit the portal.. So even if it shows the money was deducted is it technically late if I never got February?
If your CS is taken out of Exs paycheck what is the timeframe for you to get it? His last job he was paid weekly on Thursdays and I got my payments like clockwork on Saturdays..
Re: Income deduction orders
They take it out every Friday and I get it by the next Wednesday at the very latest. However, there have been times they take the full amt out of his check and I'll only get a portion of it. Or, I won't get it at all one week and will get a double payment the next week. The state is weird like that.
As long as it's coming out of his checks every week and even though you're not getting it right away, it's not considered late. The state got the money on time, it's just not getting to you right away. Hope that makes sense.
You might want to check with your CS office if its been two weeks.
In my state (PA) CS has to be transferred from the employer who withheld it to the state within 7 business days. Once it gets transferred I can see it on my account with the state even if its not in my bank account yet. Going from the state to my account doesn't usually take more than two days.
And my ex's employer finds a need to hold the money the entire 7 days so it takes just under the two weeks to get it. But I know they hold it, because I work for the same employer, so if its not there by the next pay day something is wrong.
I hope you get it.
