I feel like time went really fast until around 38-ish weeks. Prior to that, I would b!tch and moan about being uncomfortable, but I didn't know what uncomfortable was until the end. Plus I was starting to read into absolutely everything as a labor sign. The anticipation of something happening just made time feel extra draggy. (I delivered at exactly 40 weeks, so thankfully I didn't have to go over.)
I'm not due until June 9, but leaving work May 28th. I'm beginning to wonder if that is a good or bad idea - I have visions of sitting at home being bored and having the time drag on even more slowly!
Granted, I'm not "at the finish line" yet... but I will be induced in the next week or two due to a medical condition. I thought pregnancy as a whole would go by so slowly but looking back it went by quickly. Thus far, third tri has gone by so unbelievably quick that I'm not sure that I ever blinked.

I'm leaving work a few weeks early too... I don't want to go into labour or have my water break in front of a class of Kindergarteners ("Mrs. B peed her pants", lol) Plus I've got a super long drive by myself, so I don't want to go into labour while driving myself. I think it's a good idea to have a few weeks to yourself to rest! But I am worried about being bored too!
I'm hoping the third trimester goes faster... the first 6.5 months have taken soooo long to go by!
I feel like I've been pregnant forever and a day. I remember feeling like DS came sorta fast, maybe because he was my first & I was nervous etc.., now I'm just over being pregnant & wanting to meet my DD!
For me, third tri has dragged by. I'm not necessarily uncomfortable as I am ready for this to be over. I still feel relatively good! Just anxious to meet my little guy! The end is in sight for you! I definitely recommend keeping yourself busy. Sitting at home makes the days drag by so much flower, and I think the general consensus on my BMB was that working definitely kept time passing.

I think it kind of slows down at the end because you get it in your head that you could "go any minute". And then you don't. And then you don't the next day. And then the next week. And then your due date comes and goes...
I feel as if it has just began to slow down now. Like salt said, the anticipation begins to build. Plus, I started my leave last week, so the boredom gets to me a bit!
I'm on bedrest right now, so it has been very slow for me and I still have 4 weeks to go (hopefully). I say as long as you keep busy and have things to keep you distracted, it goes faster. Once you have your shower and start to seriously get the nursery ready, if you haven't already, then you'll find the time speeds up a little.

same here (except different dates) I am due May 8th, and was thinking of my last day as April 27th, but I don't know if I want to sit at home for that long if he isn't on time, but like, 2 weeks late or something...
but so far, 4rd tri has gone by super slow for me...

I think it's gone by fairly quickly for me, but I am still working. Also, I didn't fully consider myself 3rd tri until 28 weeks, and even then, I didn't really post much here until 30 weeks because everyone else seemed so much further along.
I think that after this week once my maternity leave starts, it will be a bit slower though.
Absolutely not! Third tri, especially the end of third tri drags by so slowly. You take everything as a sign and then learn that every sign means nothing. Even something real like losing your MC doesn't mean a thing. You can lose that sucker and still have weeks to go...and if you're thinking about taking some early mat leave time, don't. Seriously, unless you really have tons to do or friends who are also off, totally don't do it. It is so boring!
It went by pretty quickly so far, but the last couple days I've been quite uncomfortable, achy, need to pee ALL THE TIME, can't sleep etc. I consider myself lucky I've had a pretty easy going pregnancy up til now though!
And I'm sure in two weeks I'll be laughing at how I THOUGHT I was uncomfortable now... haha

I feel like 3rd is going by faster than 1st and 2nd...maybe it's the scurrying around to get everything ready, prepare the nursery, baby showers, etc. that makes it seem like it is going faster. I have a feeling the last 2-3 weeks will drag a bit.
My first pregnancy...it felt like it took forever! This second time it has gone by much quicker. Just try to relax and enjoy your freedom, it's amazing to be a new mommy but its tiring!
I really hope this last trimester goes by quickly. I can't wait to meet my LO! Although, at the same time I have SO much to get done before she arrives.
Its weird. Each week when I look back and it felt like the last week took forever. It seems time is moving backwards. But when I think of how much I have to do in the next 4-7 weeks I think there is not enough time to do that in. I want it to fly by though. I want to meet my LO!

This entire pregnancy has flown by! Especially third trimester! I'll be 36 weeks on Wednesday and I'm finding it hard to believe that in a week and a half I'll be "full term"! I've been keeping busy. I have DS who is 19 months old and he keeps me running on a daily basis, but also between appointments and hanging out with friends it seems like my weeks are just disappearing!
What's weird is that every single day seems to drag by, but then next thing I know it's another week!
I feel like it's gone by so much faster now that I've had my shower and am finally putting finishing touches on decorating LO's room. I've been a stay at home wife and plan on being a stay at home mom. So tri 1 and 2 have gone by super slow. Now I'm just sleeping as much as possible and getting everything finished up. I enjoy relaxing at home but I do feel like I have lots to get done before LO get's here. And I'm super nervous being a FTM and am not in too much of a hurry to get him out. Although, I can't wait to feel like I have intestines and a stomach again. LOL
Im 33 weeks, and I hate to say it, but the third trimester has gone by so slow for me...like painfully slow. Probably because I'm a FTM and I'm very anxious about pretty much everything and anything. I have a pretty busy job, but I havent been able to sleep or get comfortable at all, so that doesnt help either. I hope your's goes by much quicker. Stay busy and calm!
I hope things slow down soon. Don't get me wrong..I am very excited for my baby to come, but I still have so much to do. This pregnancy has gone by so fast.
With DS 3rd tri went extremely so. I'm not sure if it's because I was on bedrest from the beginning of it, or what...but it went by sooo slow AND I was induced at 37 weeks, so it was 3 weeks shorter than it should have been.
With this pregnancy all together it's gone by extremely fast, although once I hit 30 weeks it seems to be slowing down. It still feels a lot faster then my pregnancy with DS, but I also have a toddler to run around after.
I think the very end, when your super uncomfortable and anxious to meet LO and wondering when the day will be is when it slows wayyyy down.
Also, Dr. said he may take me off work at 36 weeks (I'm dx with PIH/Pre-e again just not as bad) and I really don't want that. I would prefer to work until I deliver.
I feel like it is dragging a bit, however I have been super busy during the first 2 tri's so they went super fast for me. Now that my schedule has really slowed down I have had more time to think about the pregnancy, which most likely makes me feel like it is going slower.

In my personal experience it absolutely does not go by fast. It has been the slowest of the three trimesters. I had to stop working at 20 weeks when I was hospitalized for a week for a kidney condition that turned out to be pregnancy related. So time has dragged extra slow for me because I've been home for 19 weeks now trying to keep myself busy and all I can think about is meeting my daughter and how uncomfortable I am. I can't wait for it to be over and at this point may be my only child. (too soon to tell but as of right now I don't think I could do it again.

It was flying by for the first few weeks. Then I got put on bed rest around 30 weeks and time is going so slowly now! It's frustrating having to take things week by week- not knowing if baby will arrive in 1 week or 6 weeks!
3rd tri, like the rest of my pregnancy, seemed to fly by for me.... until I hit my final month. Now I am done working, which is awesome, but also sucks because I am bored out of my mind and constantly wondering when I will get my turn to have my baby. I am super uncomfortable.... I remember getting uncomfortable in some ways back in month 5 and 6 and wondering how it got worse.... UGGGHHH!!! Sleeping is the worst for me. I just cannot get comfy and I think switching positions is the worst part... the belly is just so heavy at this point, flipping from one side to another is like an olympic event LOL.
Also, another lengthening part of 3rd tri is that once you finally get to your birth month, your BMB is constantly filled with birth stories. And they are nice to read and I am so happy for everyone, but not being due until later in the month, it makes it feel like it's never going to happen to you! Haven't even hit my due date yet, so I'm sure if that happens (like I have a feeling it will), that will be an entirely different feeling of the waiting game!
NO! It drags on and on and on...by far the slowest-seeming trimester in my opinion. Mainly because of what others have said: you feel like you're so close to being done with pregnancy but the actual arrival of your LO never seems to come. Every day I wake up and think, "Nope! Still pregnant!" and no matter how many false alarms and signs/symptoms I have, I keep on waking up pregnant. And huge. And unable to move. And incredibly sore. And nauseous. And exhausted. Can't wait for this to be over, but I've learned not to hold my breath.

All of this. Minus the delivering at 40 weeks... unfortunately
My whole pregnancy has flown by at unbelievable speeds.
I do have to echo pp though who said that it has been a little hard (tiring/slowing?) reading all the birth stories on my bmb knowing I'm not due until the bitter end. However this is partially my fault for haunting the February boards last month, think I might have overloaded myself. I have had to take a few days off from reading birth stories to re-energize.
I think though that overall the 3rd trimester is easier/faster for me, because I really do want this baby to come after his due date. Perhaps I will be singing a different tune in a few weeks. But right now, I want to work as long as possible to maximize money I'm saving before we have to start paying for baby expenses (daycare/nanny might be as much as $600/wk ugh).
I know it would go infinitely slower if I was not working. I really feel for those bed rest mamas especially.
I feel like my pregnancy has been flying by so fast! I can't believe I'll be 29 weeks tomorrow...she'll be here before we know it! I feel like it was just a few weeks ago when I peed on a stick and had that "uh oh" feeling. I hope that 3rd tri slows down a bit for me so that I can enjoy the last weeks of being pregnant and feeling her move and wiggle inside my belly. I'm so anxious about labor and delivery, maybe it's being a FTM, but I'm so scared to be a mom and be responsible for this little helpless bundle of cuteness. I wish I could just keep her safe inside where it's easy to take care of her.
I hope things slow down soon. Don't get me wrong..I am very excited for my baby to come, but I still have so much to do. This pregnancy has gone by so fast.
This for me too!

Oh, God no. For me it was unbelievably slow. It seemed like once the nursery was mostly done and my shower was over time just stood still. . .and I delivered 3 days before my due date. I can't image if I had gone over!
Hope you saved something to do such as wash some baby clothes, finish the nursery, unwrap everything you bought and get it in it's place so it's ready to use when you get home from the hospital, pay your bills ahead for the next few weeks so you don't forget, read those baby books, etc.

I remember the last time it dragged. Every day after 37 weeks I was like, 'IS TODAY THE DAY?? OMG!?!?!' The anticipation was insane.
This time I think I may enjoy my time off work a bit more and chill.
