Well a decision has been made.....

So I left the decision up to my husband when I would go off the pill (today or in April) and well he decided today!!! So we now are TTC.  We have decided not to 'try' but to not prevent pregnancy for awhile and see how that goes.  We aren't telling anyone but I had to say something before I go crazy! Since I am always checking out what is going on here and with you ladies I better do a quick intro...........................

I am almost 23 and my husband is 30.  We have been married since Oct. Pretty much love anything and everything with sports, and it controls our lives most of the time.  We live in a small town and aren't big city people.    I'm very impatient so hopefully this isn't a super slow process :) Good luck to everyone.

    Yay!  So fun.  I'm 34 and my husband is 35, and we also got married in October after being together for almost 3 years.  I actually went off the pill in July and we did the same thing -- pulled the goalie but still tried NOT to get pregnant, then since October we've been doing the "let's see what happens" thing, and last month was the first month we officially "tried."

    That is so awesome.  I'm glad we aren't the only ones not 'trying'.  It seems like all the posts I read are about charting etc.  I'm like lets just have fun for awhile.  Good luck! I hope you only need one month of offical trying.

    Welcome!  My husband and I were also just married in October.  I went off BC in July and we TTA until last month.  I am just starting cycle 2.  You might change your mind about charting after a couple of months.  I was already charting a little bit due to NFP classes before our wedding, but now that we are TTC I'm very anxious for it to happen.  I'm going to try temping this month just so I know more about what's going on with my body.  I'd hate to get 6 months down the road and find out getting pregnant isn't coming so easily, and then have to start charting.  Good luck to you guys!!

    Nice to see you on here! I am new too! I was trying without prevention for a year so I can relate to where you are at now.

    Welcome, I'm a newb too :) I'm not charting either, just using OPK's. I'm an impatient person as well, and I've found keeping yourself busy during the 2ww is the only thing to keep you sane! GL!

    Good luck! We're in the same boat too. Took my very last active birth control pill last night. I don't think we're going to chart or temp or anything but just let it happen naturally. I'm afraid I'll obsess otherwise.

    TTC since March of 2012
    Me: 27 Dh: 35 Testing Begins 3/5/13
    Six SA's show DH has low numbers across the board = severe MFI
    Genetic testing for me = MTHFR+, also carrier for blood clotting disorder Otherwise all else normal
    Dh's karotype= Normal!!
     Mini-IVF/ICSI - July -August 2014 - 1R,M,&F Transferred 1 Grade 1 Morula-5dt - BFFN

    I am charting everyday and drinking green tea which I do normally anyways because I'm a huge tea drinker. We are basically just going with the flow of things right now as well. I do recommend temping/charting whenever your next cycle begins because I love being able to see what my body is doing every month. Remember though that it could take a while for your body to adjust coming off the pill. I wish you all the best of luck and to say I'm sort of a newbie too! Smile
