I just moved from out of state. My hair stylist at home was trained at the Jamison Shaw institue, Atlanta GA for the French haircuttting technique. I loved her and she did awesome on my curls.
My hair is curly. This adds a whold new dimension of challenge/obsession to find a decent person who is even slightly aware of how to cut curly hair. I searched for a looong time before I found someone who was also trained at Jamison Shaw in GA.
My last hair cut was at the end of December. I specifically went to this guy in January for a consulation only. He was familiar with the french cutting method, was able to view my hair after a "fresh" haircut and said, no problem, I can do this.
Yesterday I went there thinking that I would make a smooth transition btw my old and new stylist. Boy was I was wrong. He didnt even use scissors,,I think he used shears. it is thick on top and thin on the bottom. It looks like crap. When I asked him if he used the French method on my hair, he said, partically/ WHAT? I didnt consult with you and pay you top dollar not to mention my travel expenses.. to get a hair cut that I partcially asked for.
I am going back home in a couple of weeks and going to make a appointment with my wonderful stylist. I have no idea what shes going to do but I know she will fix it. SHes a genius like that.
Should I email. Should I give nasty reviews. That cant do anything. I am the one that gotta live with it.
WWYD? Thanks for reading!
Re: epic hair cut failure..need advice (Not Adoption related)
I am sorry....
Is he the owner? If not, talk with the owner/manager and at the very least get your $$$ back. You should not pay for a bad haircut... esp when you consulted and it failed.
