TTC After a Loss
If I had known then what I know now...(long)
I wanted to start by apologizing for my extended disappearance. Sorry about that! With the funeral and all that goes along with it, and then those dam twilight books that keep me beyond distracted and obsessed, then our home remodeling this weekend... well you get the point. Sorry.
Anyways upon meeting with my sil at the reception last week she had given me some info that if had I known before, things would have been much different. I can't believe after all of this that nobody ever thought to tell me 2yrs ago after our first mc, never mind after my 2nd... at least I found out after my 3rd.
She told me that dh's brother has had over 5m/c's. At least 2 with his first wife, but I'm pretty sure she said 3. Then another with his preceeding girlfriend, and then 2 with her (his current wife-yeah I know it's a long story). HELLOO!!! Why did nobody tell me this before?! She was amazed my mil didn't tell me. That was how she was able to get her appt for the re scheduled right after her 2nd mc. Her appt is the 9th, and she said she will call me as soon as she finds out something. She said she is pretty sure it is something that they (mh and her dh) share geneticaly.
Ugh. Sorry so long. I really needed to get that off my chest. None of my friends or my mom understand what this all means. That it means that I could have been seeing a specialist so much sooner and possibly been able to avoid a mc or two. Yes- another you have to have been there to understand I guess.

Thanks Kathy! I've been so scared of coming back, I didn't know how you all would feel after me being gone for so long with no word. I felt horrible!
Yeah, we are thinking this must have something to do with what has been happening. It felt kinda good though to see that there may acutally be a reason- other than my ungodly bad luck, things don't usually work out the way I want.
OMG!! You're back!! Not only did I miss you but I was honestly starting to worry. I'm so glad to see your name under a post.
However, that is unbelieveable that no one ever mentioned that to you. Maybe no one made the connection that it could be related or that there's a pattern there? Well, at least you know to get it checked out now. I'm sorry, that's unfortunate that you went so long without knowing.

Oh, I'm so sad for you now! It was only for a minute that he was on, but it was enough, he really did look good! Good enough to tear my eyes off the pages of my Eclipse book!
Yeah, I have to admit, I wasn't watching it really. It was on in the background while I read. Then I just happened to hear his name. There were very few parts that distracted me that much from my book.
Luna- I soooo hope you are right. Can you believe I still need to call the dr? I have been dreading it. I keep thinking that if I avoid it, everything will go away and just be ok.

That is very interesting about your DH's brother... it does make you wonder if there could be a correlation...
