Mei-Tai Newborn Carry Question

So. I have a Babyhawk, a short torso, and a long baby. He's 7 weeks old and it's getting to be a PITA to get it tied properly. Do I need to wait until he's sitting up to put his legs around my waist? Thanks ladies!

    You can cinch the body with a stretchy headband or a ribbon to make it narrower.  It should fit your LO from knee to knee (and not wider than that).
