Diaper rash healing FAIL

Because everyone needs a laugh after yesterday, right? 

L has a horrible diaper rash; not sure why.  Last night I let her run around nakey for a few to try to get some air to it.  Our house is pretty well open concept.  I was in the living room picking up a few toys when she took off for the dining room (carpeted).  I swear she was gone for about 1 minute flat and came running back to me.  

Holding.  A.  Turd.

So she pooped all over the dining room floor, threw the poop at me in the living room, had it all down her legs and feet.

DH grabbed the carpet cleaner and a brush immediately, while I'm yelling "FORGET THE CARPET, RUN HER A BATH NOOOOOWWWW!!!!"  All the while my child is screeching like a banshee, she has no clue what's going on.

Within about 15 minutes the situation was under control.  I told DH, I swear my heart was in my mouth when I saw my beautiful child running toward me holding a piece of her own poop.  Parenting fail of the year.

Did anyone have a more interesting night than I did?

    Oh my God, that is soooo funny! I'm sure it was horrifying in the moment, but still!

    Maybe I'm lucky that A only does rock hard poops!

    That's awesome, lol.

    Last night wasn't interesting at all but we did have a poop incident a few months ago. I had just changed O's diaper and was letting his bum air dry because he had a rash. I went to throw away the diaper, was gone maybe 30 secs and I come back to see him squating in front of our big chair in the living room. He sees me and takes off. I look and not only is there a little pee puddle but there a pile of turds in front of the chair. He was so proud of himself, he smiled like a fool the whole time I cleaned it up.

    Omg, that is hilarious! The only poop incident we've had was about a week ago when DH was giving C a bath and afterwards said "well. Someone pooped in the tub!"

    I would die is C threw poop at me. Hahaha

    Omg that's awesome!! I mean, not awesome for you, but funny. :) we had a poo incident several months ago.. Griffin was in his highchair grunting, and pretty soon we see him reaching his hand to his mouth with something on it. Right as it went I'm his mouth, we both jumped up! It had come out the side of his diaper and onesie and I'm pretty sure he got a little taste. Ugh sooo gross!

    Oh my thanks for the laugh this morning!! We had a. poop incident last month. A had bad diarrhea from the stomach bug. Well one blowout happened after his nap. I found him finger painting his crib with it. Blech!!! I screamed for dh to help me clean up A since I didn't know what to do there was poop everywhere!

    LOLOL I'm so sorry you had to deal with a poop missile, but this is the funniest thing I've read in a long time! You're inspiring me to watch J like a hawk during naked time from now on.
    I used to be a big deal.  Now I'm just old.

    I have a similar story, although it doesn't involve having poop thrown at me.

    I was changing Connor's near explosive diarrhea diaper on the couch. I tossed the diaper on the floor so he couldn't reach it and as I reached behind me for a bag to put the diaper in, he jumped off the couch. Where do you think his foot landed? Yup - right in the dirty diaper and off he went running into the kitchen. I stood there for a moment trying to figure out what to do first lol
