1st Trimester

I love Zofran!

I am finally able to have a semi-normal day!  I was very reluctant because I'm not a big pill taker but when talking with my OB nurse she asked if I at least wanted to try it and I'm so thankful I did!

Here's hoping the m/s doesn't last until 16 weeks like it did last time :)

Re: I love Zofran!

  • Glad you are feeling better. I was the same way. I started taking something for my m/s on Monday and I was so happy by Tuesday. I was very hesitant as well to take something but I am so glad I did.

  • I know what you mean.  I wasn't afraid to take it just kept hoping it would ease up so I wouldn't need it.  My m/s wasn't this bad with my first pregnancy.

Yeah I talked to my doctor about taking something for it and she said it's completely safe and it's more dangerous for me not to be eating and vomiting then it would be to take the stuff for my m/s.

  • Zofran only worked for me for a little while for some reason, the m/s would break right through it no matter what. I ended up taking a few weeks off from work before the birth b/c the m/s was so bad. I'm hoping not to get the same m/s as my last pregnancy, 33w of straight m/s is enough to drive anyone mad! lol Glad the zofran is working for you though, be careful as it may bind you up a bit :)

Zofran is pretty amazing... but I stopped taking it because of the insane constipation it causes.  Consider yourself warned.

THIS. I had to stop taking it because I felt the constipation was just as bad or worse than the m/s. I almost went to the hospital last night because of it! I'd rather chew my ginger gum and take my B6....
